When your firm connects Uber to Quilia, clients can request rides to their appointments directly from the Quilia mobile app. You control whether rides are enabled and establish a maximum estimated fare that applies to every request.

How it works

Once Uber is connected and ride requests are enabled, clients see an option to request a ride when viewing an upcoming appointment in the Quilia app.

When a client requests a ride, Quilia checks the estimated fare against the firm's configured maximum. If the estimate exceeds the maximum fare limit, the client is notified that the ride cannot be requested. If the estimate is within the limit, the firm covers the cost of the ride and the client receives updates on their driver's status directly in the app.

Connecting Uber

  1. Open Settings → Integrations.
  2. Find the Uber section and follow the connection prompts to authorize Quilia.
  3. Once authorized, return to Quilia to configure your settings.

Configuring ride settings

After connecting Uber, configure the rules for client rides:

  1. Under the Uber integration in Settings → Integrations, locate the Client ride requests toggle.
  2. Turn this toggle on to allow clients to request rides from the app.
  3. Under Maximum estimated fare, enter the highest estimated dollar amount your firm will cover for a single ride.

Note that the fare limit is checked based on the estimate provided by Uber at the time of the request. The final billed amount may vary depending on route changes, wait times, or Uber pricing.

What clients see

When a client opens an upcoming appointment in the Quilia app, they see a request option for a ride. If they select it:

  • They confirm their pickup location and destination.
  • Quilia retrieves the estimated fare from Uber.
  • If the fare is under the firm's limit, the ride is booked and the client sees driver details and status updates.
  • If the estimated fare exceeds the limit, the app explains that the ride exceeds the firm's allowance and they must arrange alternative transportation.
