A divorce divides what you owe as well as what you own. The Debts screen in the Quilia app is where you list every mortgage, loan and credit card, who it's owed to and whose name it's in.

Open Debts

Tap Case at the bottom of the screen, then tap Debts (What you owe, and who to).

Add a Debt

Tap Add Debt and fill in the form.

The Add Debt form
  1. Type: pick the kind of debt.
  2. Description: who you owe, for example "Wells Fargo Home Mortgage" or "Chase Sapphire Visa".
  3. Owner: whose name the debt is in, such as yours, your spouse's, or both.
  4. Last 4 of Account: for a credit card, auto loan, student loan, personal loan or mortgage, the last four digits of the account number.
  5. Notes: anything else, such as the balance you think is left or who has been making the payments.

Tap Save and Close when you're done.

The types of debts you can add

The types are Auto Loan, Credit Card, Medical Bills, Mortgage, Other Debt, Personal Loan, Student Loan and Tax Debt.

Add Debts Quilia Found in Your Uploads

When you upload photos or screenshots of card or loan statements, ℚ, Quilia's digital case assistant, analyzes them and looks for cards and loans. Anything it finds that isn't on your list yet shows up faded at the bottom of Debts, with Tap to add under it.

Tap it to open the form with what Quilia found already filled in, check it, and tap Save and Close. If it doesn't belong, swipe the row to the left and tap Remove. Nothing is added to your list unless you add it.

Tips

  • Add a debt even if only your spouse's name is on it. Your legal team needs to see all of it.
  • The same card on twelve statements only needs to be added once. Quilia shows it once, too.
  • What you own goes on the Assets screen. See How to Add Your Assets.
