In a divorce, your legal team needs a full picture of what you and your spouse own. The Assets screen in the Quilia app is where you list it: the house, bank and retirement accounts, vehicles, a business, jewelry and anything else of value. Your legal team sees each item as soon as you save it.
Open Assets
Tap Case at the bottom of the screen, then tap Assets (What you and your spouse own).
Add an Asset
Tap Add Asset and fill in the form.
- Property Type: pick the kind of asset (see the list below).
- Description: what it is, for example "Joint savings account at First National Bank" or "2022 Honda CR-V".
- Owner: whose name it is in, such as your name, your spouse's name, or both.
- Last 4 of Account: for a bank, investment or retirement account, the last four digits of the account number. This field appears once you pick one of those types.
- Notes: anything else your legal team should know, such as an approximate value or when it was bought.
You can also tap Upload Image to attach a photo, such as a statement or a title. When you're done, tap Save and Close.
The types are Bank Account, Real Estate, Jewelry, Vehicle, Investment Account, Retirement Account, Life Insurance, Business Interest, Personal Property and Other.
Add Accounts Quilia Found in Your Uploads
When you upload photos or screenshots of your statements, ℚ, Quilia's digital case assistant, analyzes them and looks for accounts and vehicles. Anything it finds that isn't on your list yet shows up at the bottom of Assets, faded, with Tap to add under it.
Tap it to open the Add Asset form with what Quilia found already filled in: the type, the description, whose name it is in and the last four digits. Check each field, fix anything that's wrong, and tap Save and Close to add it to your list.
If something isn't yours or doesn't belong in your case, swipe the faded row to the left and tap Remove. Nothing Quilia finds is added to your list unless you add it.
Finding accounts in your uploads can take a little while after you upload, so if you don't see something right away, check back later. If an account never shows up, add it yourself with Add Asset.
Change or Remove an Asset
Tap any asset on the list to open it, make your changes, and save.
Tips
- List everything, even things you think are small or are only in your spouse's name. Your legal team decides what matters.
- If you're not sure of a value or an account number, add what you know and put the rest in Notes.
- Debts go on their own screen. See How to Add Your Debts.
