What to Photograph
- Bruises and swelling
- Cuts and abrasions
- Surgical scars
- Visible deformities
- Medical devices (braces, casts, crutches)
Photo Guidelines
Lighting
- Use natural daylight when possible
- Avoid harsh shadows
- Make sure injury is clearly visible
Framing
- Include a reference for size (ruler or coin)
- Take close-up and wide shots
- Show the injury from multiple angles
Timing
- Take photos immediately after injury
- Continue photographing as healing progresses
- Capture setbacks or complications
