What is FMLA Leave?

Job-protected unpaid leave guaranteed by the Family and Medical Leave Act for qualifying family and medical reasons, including childbirth, serious health conditions, or caring for a family member.

Understanding FMLA Leave

Eligible employees can take up to 12 weeks of FMLA leave per year. Employers must maintain health benefits and restore employees to the same or equivalent position. FMLA applies to employers with 50+ employees and workers who've been employed for 12 months with 1,250 hours worked.
