Native Tab Bar, Faster CaseChat, and In-App Client Survey

By Andre Hammons
mobile-app v2026.4.0

Version 2026.4.0 delivers a more polished, responsive experience for clients โ€” from a native-feeling navigation bar and faster CaseChat to typed signatures, an in-app survey, and universal deep links that open the right screen directly from any link.

Native Platform Tab Bar

The bottom navigation bar now uses the icon style that feels right on each device.

  • Platform-native icons: SF Symbols on iOS and Material Design icons on Android give the navigation bar a polished, at-home feel on each platform
  • Consistent experience: The updated tab bar matches the visual language of iOS and Android, so the app feels familiar from the moment you open it

Faster, More Reliable CaseChat

CaseChat now stays current with near-instant message sync, even on intermittent connections.

  • Real-time message sync: Chat messages sync using a modern sync engine that delivers near-instant updates without requiring a stable connection
  • Progressive message loading: The chat opens quickly by loading the most recent 50 messages first, then lets you scroll up to load older history on demand โ€” no waiting for the full conversation to load
  • Optimistic send with draft restore: Sent messages appear immediately before the server confirms them. If a send fails, your draft text is automatically restored so nothing is lost

In-App Client Survey

A short satisfaction survey helps your firm stay connected to how clients are experiencing the app.

  • NPS-first survey: The survey leads with the most important question โ€” whether a client would recommend their attorney โ€” followed by three short rating statements, keeping the experience quick and focused
  • Respectful pacing: The survey only appears after meaningful engagement (10, 25, or 50 activities) and has a 90-day cooldown, so it won't interrupt clients unnecessarily

App Store Review Prompt

When your firm sends a review request, clients now see a native App Store or Google Play review dialog directly inside the app โ€” no need to navigate to the store separately.

Typed Signatures in Document Signing

Clients who prefer not to draw their signature can now type it instead.

  • Type your name as a signature: Documents that support it now offer a typed signature option, rendered in a cursive font so it looks like a handwritten signature on the final document
  • Clear draw/type toggle: Clients can switch between drawing and typing with a simple toggle, and a live preview shows exactly how the typed name will appear

Ask a Question

Clients who don't yet have an active case can now submit a question directly to the law firm from the organization screen โ€” without needing to call or email.

Universal Deep Links

Links to quilia.com/app/... now open directly to the correct screen inside the app, whether tapped from an email, SMS, or browser.

Improved Organization Profile

  • Better logo display: The firm's logo now appears full-width on the organization details screen with the correct aspect ratio, and the app uses the right image (icon vs. logo) depending on screen context
  • Long firm names: Especially long firm names now scale automatically to fit without being cut off
  • Clearer address button: The "Directions" button has been renamed to "Address" to better describe what it shows

Case-Type Tailored Content

Subtitles, onboarding benefits, empty states, and help text are now tailored to each client's specific case type โ€” personal injury, family law, criminal defense, SSD, employment, and more โ€” so the app feels relevant rather than generic.

Bug Fixes and Stability

  • Appointments: Save failures now surface an error message and keep you on the screen so you can try again. A 24-hour window now allows editing an appointment's date after creation, and tapping a locked date explains why it cannot be changed
  • Requests: Cancelled requests are now hidden from the request list. Deep links to cancelled requests show a clear "cancelled by attorney" message, and soft-deleted requests are excluded from all views
  • Home screen tasks: Fixed navigation for the benefit payments, "Add next appointment," and "Add accident details" task buttons, which were routing to incorrect screens
  • CaseChat: Fixed keyboard-aware input padding, input height reset after sending, send button styling, avatar alignment on read receipts, and a typing indicator that could appear for your own messages
  • No-case clients: Fixed an issue preventing clients without an active case from loading their messages, and removed a back arrow that appeared during loading
  • Internationalization: Corrected missing and incorrect translations across Spanish, French, Italian, and Filipino locale files
